Oh, how we’ve missed her! Today is the day we get to catch up with everyone’s favorite Delphic priestess. As you likely suspected, she plays a crucial role in the events of The Tower of Nero. Here’s a sneak peek before you all turn off the wifi so you can focus on the book.
She’s a true visionary.
Sure, she’s an Oracle and all, so maybe this goes without saying. But as artists go, there are some who paint pretty pictures with happy trees. And then there is Rachel. Her monumental canvases show explosions of color and moments of clarity, moving Apollo with the truths they tell.
She’s definitely barefoot.
You can’t see her feet in this illustration, but rest assured this Oracle has not succumbed to the banality of conventional footwear. Even without the Oracle status, she’s such a great artist that we would be shocked to see her bothering with even a free-spirited Birkenstock. No creative genius wastes time on shoes when there are masterpieces to paint.
She’s not just some spoiled rich girl.
Sure she’s holed up in a Brooklyn mansion, practicing her art on a grand scale. But we all know Rachel well enough to know that’s not going to affect her sense of charity or helpfulness. For example, what artistic genius do you know who would also help Nico make sure he doesn’t get paint on his all black ensemble?
When she says she sees things. . .
. . .just take her word for it, okay?
