Every camp has at least one token mean girl. At Half-Blood, there’s a whole cabin of them. It’s never wise to step up to the campers of Cabin 10, but if there’s one daughter of Aphrodite everyone should avoid, it’s Drew Tanaka. Here’s why.
Lack of Charm
Like all of Aphrodite’s children, Drew is blessed with the ability of Charmspeak. Which obviously makes bossing other campers around impossible to resist. For any campers who missed important life events because you felt the sudden desire to give Drew a foot massage, just remember: it’s not your fault.
Turns out constantly calling your half-sister “Dumpster Queen” can actually backfire in the end.
Malevolent Ruler
Drew took over as counselor for Cabin 10 after Silena Beauregard defected to the Titans. Her reign was notorious for making the lives of other campers a living Tartarus. Say what you will about Kronos, at least he never pushed anyone out of the showers.
The Jason of it All
Thankfully, one person seemed immune to Drew’s charms. Nonetheless, Drew quickly developed an infatuation with Jason after he arrived at Camp Half-Blood. It got so bad that she even volunteered to go on a quest with him, which she was likely only interested in for more face-time with the hunky Roman. Too bad for her that someone else caught his eye first.
The Feud with Piper…
Turns out constantly calling your half-sister “Dumpster Queen” can actually backfire in the end. Drew finally got her comeuppance after Jason chose Piper as his questing partner, and the rest is history. Piper got the boy. Piper got the glory. And Piper got the head counselor promotion. Meanwhile, Drew presumably got toilet-cleaning duty.
And with Sadie
But if your status as queen bee is taken away at summer camp, at least you can still dominate the halls of your Gifted Academy. That is unless you share a school with magicians like Sadie Kane and her friend Anubis, who are so powerful that they’re virtually bully-proof. Drew found that one out the hard way.
