For those of you who finished Aru Shah and the Tree of Wishes, you remember that absolutely insane cliffhanger of an ending. If you didn’t, it’s way past time to catch up. Because Kara, a girl who claims to be the daughter of the Sleeper, has arrived on the scene, and Aru Shah’s life will never be the same. But what exactly do we know about this mystery girl?
There’s No Way She’s a Pandava, Right?
According to legend, there are only ever five Pandava siblings at any given time. Those are Aru, Mini, Brynne, and the twins Sheela and Nikita. And let’s not forget that Kara currently has Aru Shah chained up in a dungeon. As far as we’re concerned, there’s no way this girl is anything other than a long-lost evil twin.
She’s Close to Her Father
Unlike Aru, Kara doesn’t hesitate to refer to the Sleeper as “Dad.” Imagine being proud of the fact your father is currently attempting to overthrow Otherworld. Maybe the reason Kara has Aru chained up is to help bring the family together once and for all. If you can think of better ways to get close to your long-lost sister, we’d love to hear them.
Her Past Is Unknown, Even to Her
Time for some math. The Sleeper was imprisoned in the lamp shortly after Aru Shah was born. Aru is 14 now, and she released the Sleeper two years ago. Kara has been living under dear old Dad’s care for the past two years. So where was she hanging out before the Sleeper found her?
We’d love to be able to tell you, but the Sleeper conveniently erased Kara’s memories of her childhood. We would all be so lucky if we could magically forget middle school as well.
She Has an Enchanted Trident
Okay, this is a slight spoiler, but are you really surprised that this daughter of the Sleeper is armed with an enchanted weapon? Namely a glowing, shape-shifting Trident named “Sunny” that looks to be supremely powerful. Still, it’s no match for Aru and Varja, right?
What’s that? She also knows how to open teleportation portals? Um, we might have a problem here. . . .
