Warning! Spoilers for Aru Shah and the City of Gold ahead!
It seems like every other week a new ancient evil rises from its slumber to lay waste to our mortal realm. Take the Sleeper, for example. Following the events of Aru Shah and the City of Gold, he’s more determined than ever to fulfill his mission of cosmic destruction.
Thankfully, Aru Shah and her Pandava sisters are more than equipped to handle the Sleeper’s army. Or at least they were . . . before a certain individual betrayed the team and robbed them of their divine weapons.
What’s a demigod to do when their primary mode of combat is taken from them? We’ve got a few suggestions.
Ask Politely for a New One
The members of the Council of Guardians are capable of pretty much anything. No doubt they could provide replacement weapons for the Pandavas. That said, have you ever tried explaining to a deity that you lost an object of supreme power? It’s kind of like admitting to your parents that you broke the window while playing football indoors . . . Except, in this case, the adults can ground you for all eternity. Let us know how that goes!
Call in a Few Favors
Aru Shah and the Pandavas have made a lot of friends during their quests throughout the Otherworld. Perhaps they could call on the help of some former allies. Although, considering the bitter betrayals our heroines have recently experienced, it could be hard for them to determine who they can count on. You know things are bad when you can’t even trust your talking animal sidekick anymore. Best to keep things within the family for now.
Well, maybe not the entire family. . . .
Learn a New Talent
Whoever said that violence is the only answer? Maybe the Potatoes can stop the Sleeper and save the world with an epic live concert instead. Rumor has it that they’ve been working on a stirring set list with the Otherworld’s resident star-maker, Tumburu. Given the Potatoes’ collective musical talent (or lack thereof), it’s possible that their upcoming performance could be just as electrifying as a direct hit from Vajra.
Make Do with What You’ve Got
So what if our heroines no longer have access to their divine weapons? It’s not like they’re totally powerless. Aiden still has his magical camera, Shadowfax. Rudy can still do amazing things with rocks. And, despite his small size, Baby Boo can generate a ridiculously huge amount of fire. All told, the Potatoes aren’t completely defenseless against the might of the Sleeper . . .
Still, Mini might want to get those first aid kits ready, just in case.
