After months of anticipation, we are beyond thrilled to share the official US cover for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Chalice of the Gods courtesy of Victo Ngai.

We’re sure you have plenty of unanswered questions about what lies in store for Percy, Annabeth, and Grover in this adventure. But hey, we’ve waited nearly 15 years for a new entry in the original Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, so we have no doubt you can wait until 9/26 to learn the full details Percy Jackson’s most recent quest.

Until then, all we can say is that this cover is loaded with teases for the events in The Chalice of the Gods. So get theorizing, Percy fans!

But trust us, you won’t be able to guess what chickens get up to in this story. All we can say is that you’ll never look at poultry the same way again.

For now, we’ll just have to be content with the initial plot synopsis:

The original trio of heroes from The Lightning Thief are reunited for their biggest challenge yet: getting Percy into college when the gods are standing in his way.

After saving the world multiple times, Percy Jackson is hoping to have a normal senior year. Unfortunately, the gods aren’t quite done with him. Percy will have to fulfill three quests in order to get the necessary three letters of recommendation from Mount Olympus for his college application.

The first quest is to help Zeus’s cupbearer retrieve his goblet before it falls into the wrong hands. Can Percy, Grover, and Annabeth find it in time?

Readers new to Percy Jackson (this book can be enjoyed as a standalone) and fans who have been awaiting this reunion for more than a decade will delight equally in this latest hilarious take on Greek mythology.
