Bit of advice: if you and your significant other are planning a trip to the Underworld, make sure your relationship is on very solid ground. Between the deadly monsters, toxic environment, and nefarious deities, surviving the horrors of Tartarus is the ultimate test for any young couple. As we saw in The House of Hades, even the legendary demigods Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase were only barely able to escape unscathed.
Do Nico di Angelo and Will Solace have what it takes to navigate through the deepest, darkest realm of the Underworld and free this lost Titan? We’re going to have to wait until the release of The Sun and the Star to find out.
But maybe by revisiting Nico’s journey up to this point we can discern whether or not he’s ready to take that first step through the Doors of Orpheus with Will.
