5. Hazel Levesque

It’s hard to tell whether this was a real crush or just a bad case of hero-worship. Either way, Hazel formed an instantaneous bond with Percy upon his arrival at Camp Jupiter. But come on, we all know nothing was going to stand in the way of her and Frank.

4. Reyna Ramírez-Arellano

It could have been the classic case of haters-to-lovers for Reyna and Percy. Except Percy was already with Annabeth when he got to know Reyna at Camp Jupiter. And Reyna was carrying a torch for Jason. If nothing else, at least her dogs approved of Percy!

3. Calypso

Calypso sort of has a thing for heroes, so naturally Percy caught her eye after landing on Ogygia. But at that time, a relationship with her required a lifetime commitment. Percy still considers her the one who got away, but we all agree that she’s much better off with Leo Valdez anyway. Turns out the only thing she likes more than heroes is giant mechanical dragons. Who knew?

2. Nico di Angelo

Possibly the only time an admission to a crush would come in handy would be during a quest to save the world. Nico struggled with his internalized homophobia for a long time, but once he was able to admit his feelings for Percy, he became much stronger and more self-assured. Even if it was never going to work out between the two, it was a necessary step in Nico’s journey.

1. Annabeth Chase

Bet nobody saw this coming. Obviously, we’re contractually obligated to put her in the number one spot. What more needs to be said about these two? Except that only rarely does that annoying, insufferable, headache-inducing person you meet at 12-years-old end up being your one true love. So rare, in fact, that it requires celebrating.
