More about The Demigod Files
Interviews with demigods, maps, puzzles, and a peek inside Annabeth’s camp trunk. What more could one want? These all-new tales include:
Percy Jackson and the Stolen Chariot
Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares, is the last demigod Percy Jackson ever thought he’d help out. But he can’t just sit back while she’s being attacked by arrow-hurling birds, can he? (Can he?) He discovers that Clarisse is on a mission to recover her father’s chariot, stolen by the gods of terror and fear, Deimos and Phobos. The unlikely allies track the chariot to the Staten Island Zoo, but not before Phobos reveals Clarisse’s worst fear. . . .
Percy Jackson and the Bronze Dragon
Leave it to Charles Beckendorf, the son of Hephaestus, to find the granddaddy of all metalwork projects. While playing an intense game of capture the flag, he and Percy stumble into a lair of Myrmekes, or giant ants. Farther inside, Beckendorf sees the head of a bronze dragon. Intrigued, he plunges deeper into the den to retrieve it. But the ants are not pleased with the intrusion. They spit acid on Beckendorf, incapacitating him. It’s up to Percy, Annabeth, and Silena—Beckendorf’s secret crush—to save him. The bronze dragon would do the trick . . . but can they find its body and get it working in time?
Percy Jackson and the Sword of Hades
A stolen sword might not seem like such a big deal. But when the sword belongs to Hades and holds the keys that unlock the doors of the Underworld? Yeah, that’s a big deal. Persephone, Hades’s wife, summons Percy, Thalia, and Nico to recover the weapon. She gives them a carnation that can track the thief, warning that they have to find him before the petals fall out. If that happens, it’s too late—the sword has made it out of the Underworld. The thief has a powerful ally: a Titan named Iapetus. The Big Three demigods handle the big guy—with a little memory-wiping help from the River Lethe—deal with the thief, and get the sword back to Persephone . . . only to discover she hasn’t been exactly truthful about the weapon.
